Gunmen Kidnap Adelabu’s Sister, Her Twin Sons

Gunmen have abducted Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, alongside her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.
The sad incident occurred at about 7:30AM on Wednesday as Mrs. John-Paul was on her way to drop the children at school in Ibadan.
The assailants reportedly forced Mrs. John-Paul and her sons into a vehicle and drove away, according to family sources.
Mrs. John-Paul, 43, is the youngest of five children of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke Adelabu and previously worked at the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian before retiring last year.
She relocated to Ibadan with her children following her retirement, preparing to join her husband, Mr. John Paul, who had earlier moved to the United States.
Security and law enforcement agencies were immediately alerted after the abduction, and preliminary investigations have commenced.
Authorities are working to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the arrest of the kidnappers.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu and his family expressed distress over the incident but said they remain confident in the security agencies’ ability to secure the victims’ release.
The family appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid speculation, and refrain from circulating unverified information that could compromise the investigation.
They also urged anyone with useful information to report it to the appropriate security channels promptly.
The family pledged full cooperation with security agencies and promised to provide updates as the situation unfolds.
