Oyo Lifts Curfew

The Oyo State Government has lifted the security curfew earlier imposed on 10 local government areas following the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area.
The government had initially enforced a 16-hour restriction before extending it by an additional day as security operations continued in the affected communities.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, residents were directed to resume normal activities as security restrictions were fully removed.
He said the government appreciated the cooperation of residents during the curfew period and assured that security agencies were still actively monitoring the situation.
Oyelade added that efforts were ongoing to resolve the kidnapping incident and strengthen safety across affected areas in the state.
