Osun Tribunal Displays APC, PDP Petitions Against Adeleke’s Victory

The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has displayed petitions filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The petitions were pasted on the notice board of the tribunal secretariat in Osogbo on Monday, officially commencing the legal process over the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.

The secretary of the tribunal, Pefe Belemore, had earlier confirmed that petitions challenging the election result were filed, adding that the required notices would be displayed before noon on Monday.

The APC and PDP are seeking to overturn the result that returned Adeleke for another term in office.

The APC’s petition, marked EPT/OS/GOV/01/2026, was filed by its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who listed Adeleke, Accord Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as respondents.

The PDP’s petition, marked EPT/OS/GOV/02/2026, was filed by Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola against Adeleke, INEC and Accord Party.

The display of the petitions is expected to allow the service of legal documents on the parties involved and pave the way for further proceedings before the tribunal.
