SA Security, Bibire Urges Security Consciousness At CAC Revival Centre 44th Anniversary, Commends Governor Makinde

The Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Security Matters, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro, popularly known as Bibire, has charged members of the public to remain security conscious and cultivate the habit of promptly drawing the attention of the appropriate authorities to suspicious activities and developments within their communities.
Bibire gave the charge yesterday, October 1st, during the 44th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of the Nigeria Centre for World Mission, CAC Revival Centre, which also commemorated the 10th anniversary of the leadership of the President of the ministry, Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu.
Representing the Special Adviser, who was unavoidably engaged with other pressing matters of state, at the anniversary was the Head of Operations, Oyo State Security Trust Fund, Mr. Akin Oyedele.
He was accompanied by the Personal Assistant to Hon. Bibire, who also doubles as the Secretary to Ibadan Southwest Local Government, Hon. Adebanjo Sunday Raphael.
Speaking during a security sensitization session at the anniversary celebration, Bibire established the fact that security is a collective responsibility, and that the effectiveness of security architecture can only be shored up when members of the public refuse to turn a blind eye to suspicious activities within their immediate environment.
He urged members of the congregation and the general public to make the familiar security maxim, “When you see something or hear something, say something,” a practical part of their everyday conduct.
According to him, “timely information makes the difference between a situation that is swiftly brought under control and one that is allowed to spiral beyond manageable proportions.”
He therefore encouraged residents to make judicious use of the 615 emergency line whenever they observe suspicious activities or encounter security concerns demanding the attention of the relevant authorities.
Bibire equally applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for bringing security solutions closer to the people through the 615 emergency line, which he described as a practical avenue for residents to raise the alarm and seek timely intervention whenever they with security concerns.
He explained that responders manning the line round the clock, receive reports from members of the public, assess the information, and promptly relay credible reports to the appropriate security authorities for necessary action, so that no warning sign is overlooked or allowed to slip through the cracks.
Bibire consequently urged members of the congregation to save the 615 emergency line on their mobile devices and make use of it whenever the need arises, rather than keeping suspicious observations to themselves or waiting until a situation has deteriorated before speaking up.
He placed premium emphasis on the fact that security agencies cannot be everywhere at once, which makes prompt communication, security consciousness, and collaboration indispensable in the collective effort to safeguard lives and property.
The Special Adviser congratulated CAC Revival Centre on the occasion of its 44th anniversary and commended Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu for 10 years of leadership of the ministry.
He lauded the church for its notable achievements over the years and conveyed his sincere best wishes for its continued progress, with prayers that CAC Revival Centre would consistently advance from strength to strength and attain even greater heights in the years ahead.
Present at the anniversary were Mrs Fayose, former First Lady of Ekiti State; Rt. Rev. Dr. David Ademola Morounfoluwa Moradeyo, Chairman, Oyo State Pilgrim Welfare Board, Christian Wing; Engr. Abe Akinbobola, Chief Executive Officer, Goldmender Ltd.; a representative of the Olubadan of Ibadanland; and a host of other eminent personalities who graced the occasion.
Also in attendance were several distinguished Revival Conference speakers: Pastor Taiwo Armstrong, Pastor Daodu, Pastor Ifeoluwa Odoginyon, and Pastor Paul Oni, alongside other renowned men of God.
Polity Reporters reports that the spacious basement, grand main auditorium, and expansive gallery of the church were crammed to capacity, as the vast worship centre struggled to contain the sizeable multitude that had gathered to commemorate the momentous anniversary, with congregants spilling into virtually every available space.
