Trump Weighs Attending Son’s Wedding Amid Heightened Tensions With Iran

United States President Donald Trump has revealed that ongoing tensions with Iran and mounting political pressures may prevent him from attending his eldest son’s wedding.
Trump made the comments while speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, noting that he hopes to attend the private ceremony scheduled this weekend in the Bahamas.
His son, Donald Trump Jr., also known as Don Jr., is set to marry Bettina Anderson in what has been described as a small, family-centered event.
“He’d like me to go. It’s going to be just a small little private affair and I’m going to try and make it,” Trump said during the briefing.
The president explained that the timing conflicts with critical diplomatic and military developments related to Iran, as his administration continues efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis.
“I said, ‘This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things,’” he added.
Trump also joked about how media criticism would follow him regardless of his decision.
“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed, by the fake news of course,” he said.
Don Jr. currently serves as an executive vice president in the Trump business empire and remains a vocal supporter of his father’s political movement.
He frequently appears alongside the president at campaign rallies, official White House events, and visits to Mar-a-Lago.
Last year, Donald Trump Jr. suggested he might consider a presidential run in the future, noting he may seek the office “maybe one day.”
President Trump’s current term is scheduled to conclude in January 2029, and he has not yet publicly endorsed a Republican successor.
