Dele Momodu Urges Amaechi to Refrain from Insulting Atiku

Media entrepreneur and politician, Dele Momodu, has publicly appealed to former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, not to insult former Vice President Atiku Abubakar amid rising political tensions ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a message shared on social media, Momodu described Amaechi as a “dear friend and brother” and clarified that he never intended to attack him personally.
He wrote, “My dear friend and Brother, The Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, I did not abuse you pls. I only pleaded with you not to insult Atiku, a perfect gentleman who, despite the age gap, continues to respect all of us.”
Momodu added that he spoke candidly out of friendship and mutual respect, emphasizing, “You know I’m as frank as you are and only spoke candidly the way true friends must speak to each other… Love and respect always.”
The appeal comes amid growing political realignments and intensified public debates among opposition figures and political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Amaechi, a presidential aspirant under the African Democratic Congress, has recently been vocal in criticizing both the ruling government and some opposition politicians.
