Aisha Yesufu Urges Supporters to Focus on Obi’s 2027 Presidential Bid

Activist and member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has called on her supporters to remain focused on ensuring that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, wins the 2027 general election and is sworn into office.

She made the appeal in a message shared with her supporters on Thursday, stressing that attention should remain fixed on the 2027 presidential race.

“Any discussion that is not centred on the 2027 presidential election and how to secure the victory and inauguration of Peter Obi should be ignored,” she wrote on X.

Yesufu added that post-election issues and responses to other matters could be addressed after the polls, saying the current priority should remain the presidential contest.

“After the 2027 general elections, there will be time to respond to other issues if necessary, but for now the focus remains strictly on the presidential election,” she said.

The activist, who is a known supporter of Obi, had previously contested in the NDC primary for the Federal Capital Territory senatorial ticket but was unsuccessful.
