Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Begs Nigerians For Help, Seeks 30m For Urgent Surgeries

Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has appealed to Nigerians and her fans for urgent financial assistance as she battles a serious health condition requiring multiple surgeries estimated to cost about N30 million.
The actress made the emotional appeal in a video shared from her hospital bed, where she revealed that she had been receiving medical attention for about three weeks and that her condition had gone beyond what she could handle alone.
In the video, Nwosu pleaded with her supporters not to abandon her during the difficult period, asking well-meaning Nigerians to assist her in raising funds for the medical procedures she urgently requires.
The actress disclosed that she has three surgeries ahead of her but did not reveal the exact nature of the ailment, while directing individuals willing to support her treatment to contact her management team.
Nwosu, who has enjoyed a decades-long career in the Nigerian film industry, is widely recognised for her roles in popular productions including Living in Bondage and the television sitcom Fuji House of Commotion, where she played the memorable character “Peace.”
This is not the first time the actress has faced a major health challenge that attracted public support, as she previously battled kidney and heart-related complications in 2012 and received financial assistance from individuals and the Lagos State Government to enable her travel abroad for treatment.
During that period, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola provided financial support towards her treatment, while friends, colleagues and members of the public also contributed to help her access medical care in the United Kingdom.
Following her earlier treatment, Nwosu returned to Nigeria after receiving medical attention abroad and expressed appreciation to those who supported her during the difficult chapter of her life.
The latest appeal has triggered reactions from fans, colleagues and supporters across the entertainment industry, with many Nigerians offering prayers and calling for assistance to help the actress overcome her current health battle.
