BREAKING: Boko Haram Issues 72-Hour Ultimatum Over 416 Abducted Victims

Boko Haram has released a video daring the Nigerian government to attempt the forceful rescue of 416 women and children abducted in Ngoshe, Borno State.

In the video, the terrorists gave a 72-hour ultimatum, warning that failure to meet their demands would result in the victims being relocated to unknown areas.

The group, dressed in military camouflage and identifying as Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad under Imam Abu, claimed they are ready for any rescue attempt by the government.

The message, delivered in Hausa with English translation on screen, was directed at both the Borno South Youths Alliance (BOSYA) and the Nigerian government.

“We are giving you 72 hours. If our demands are not met, we will move these victims, including women and children, to different locations,” the spokesperson said.

The group also warned, “Take a look at them now, because you may never see them again.”

They added, “If the government believes it can rescue them by force, you are free to try. We depend on Allah.”

Although the group did not specify its demands, BOSYA President Samaila Ibrahim Kaigama confirmed that Boko Haram had earlier demanded ₦5 billion in ransom.

Kaigama called the latest video a “final warning” following failed mediation efforts.
