Delta Governor’s Aide Condemns Online Mockery of Pastor Jerry Eze Over Alex Ekubo’s Death

The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Success, has criticized people mocking Pastor Jerry Eze online.
The pastor faced backlash after a photo of him praying for late actor Alex Ekubo resurfaced on social media.
Critics said the prayer failed because Ekubo, who had been battling cancer, died on Tuesday.
Ossai expressed disappointment at the attacks and defended the role of prayer and faith.
“I’m disappointed in those mocking Pastor Jerry Eze for praying for Alex Ekubo,” he wrote.
He added that God remains in the business of healing and performing miracles.
“Just because Alex died does not mean prayers have no power. God knows what is best,” Ossai said.
The statement has divided opinions online, with some supporting his view and others questioning the limits of spiritual intervention in terminal illness.
Tributes for Alex Ekubo have poured in from across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
