2027: Fagbenro-Bibire Backs Makinde For President, Says Nigerians Are Tired, Need Leadership That Works

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has thrown his weight behind the presidential ambition of the Oyo State Governor.
Bibire declared that Nigerians are yearning for a leader who understands their pains and possesses the capacity required to reset Nigeria with the delivery of practical solutions to the nation’s challenges.
Bibire made this known shortly after Governor Makinde publicly declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election at the Unity Mega Rally held in Ibadan on Thursday.
Bibire equally lauded the declaration as timely and necessary considering the present economic realities confronting millions of Nigerians.
He stated that the current hardship across the country has left many citizens frustrated, exhausted, and desperate for a government that genuinely prioritizes the welfare of the people.
“Today, Nigerians are tired and the people are looking for leadership that truly works because families are struggling, businesses are shutting down, and many young people are losing hope in the future,” Bibire said.
Bibire confessed that Governor Makinde has distinguished himself as a calm, focused, and result driven administrator whose achievements can be verified across different sectors in Oyo State.
According to him, Governor Makinde has, over the years, demonstrated uncommon commitment to governance driven by people-centred policies and practical solutions.
“In Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde placed the people first from day one and that is why many residents can easily connect with his style of leadership because they have seen visible improvements across different sectors.
“He has absolutely changed the narrative in Oyo State through practical governance and people oriented policies and I strongly believe he possesses the experience and competence required to lead Nigeria at this critical time in our history,” Bibire maintained.
He said the Governor’s achievements in infrastructure development, prompt payment of salaries, investment in education, support for workers, and commitment to security have positioned him as one of the few leaders with a convincing governance record in the country.
Bibire also called on Nigerians, particularly the youths, to support leaders with proven competence, capacity, and credibility ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He stressed that the country can no longer afford leadership disconnected from the realities facing millions of struggling citizens.
“Our nation needs healing, direction, stability, and responsible leadership because the people are hungry for progress and tired of policies that continue to deepen hardship across the country,” he said.
The retired US Navy veteran expressed confidence that Governor Makinde possesses the experience, courage, and people-oriented mindset required to reset Nigeria and restore public confidence in governance.
He therefore urged party faithful and Nigerians from all walks of life to rally behind Governor Makinde’s aspiration in the collective interest of the nation.
Governor Makinde officially declared his presidential ambition on Thursday during the Unity Mega Rally in Ibadan, where he also unveiled a political alliance involving the Peoples Democratic Party and the Allied Peoples Movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
