Makinde’s SA on Security, Bibire Visits Yawota, Esinele, Charges Security Operatives To Ensure Safe Return Of Students

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Matters, Mr. Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has today, Saturday, led a high-level security delegation comprising the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, and joined by the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, on an operational visit to Yawota and Esinele in Orire Local Government Area following recent concerns over the safety of students in the area.
The visit was with the objective of assessing the situation on ground, engaging directly with affected communities, and strengthening ongoing security operations designed to ensure the safe return of the missing students.
This was as he charged security operatives to intensify efforts, maintain operational pressure on criminal elements, and ensure that no resources or intelligence available to them are left unutilised in the ongoing rescue mission.
He made the charge while addressing families, relatives, and residents of the affected communities, where he assured them that the government and security agencies are fully committed to securing the safe return of the students.
According to him, every available security architecture has been activated, and all relevant agencies are working in close coordination to ensure that the students are located and brought back safely.
Bibire, while addressing the people of Yawota during the first stop of the visit, allayed fears and assured them that efforts were already in motion and progressing smoothly to ensure the safe rescue of the students.
He told the families and everyone to remain calm and supportive of the security operations, stressing that misinformation which can lead to panic and undermine ongoing efforts should be outrightly rejected.
He therefore charged security operatives on ground to leave no stone unturned and to sustain aggressive, intelligence driven operations until victory is achieved over criminal elements responsible for the abduction.
He amplified that the mission must be pursued with urgency, professionalism, and total commitment until the students are safely rescued and reunited with their families.
Bibire also called on residents to continue to offer prayers and useful information that could assist security agencies in their ongoing operations, noting that community support remains critical at such a sensitive time.
He further assured that the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde will continue to provide all necessary logistical, operational, and intelligence support required by security agencies to effectively combat kidnapping, terrorism, and other related criminal activities in the State.
After the engagement at Yawota, the delegation proceeded to Esinele where Bibire also addressed residents and community leaders, reassuring them that the government was fully on top of the situation and that efforts were ongoing in full force to secure the release of the students.
He urged the people of Esinele to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative with security agencies, stressing that timely and credible information from the community remained essential to the success of the operation.
He concluded that the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration remains resolute and will not relent until the students are safely returned, and peace is fully restored to the affected communities.
