Bayern Munich Rejects Mourinho’s Interest in Olise

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß has firmly dismissed speculation that José Mourinho could recruit French midfielder Michael Olise from the German champions following the Portuguese coach’s attendance at the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin.
Mourinho’s presence at the match immediately birthed media reports suggesting he was closely observing Olise, who has quickly emerged as one of Bayern’s most promising attacking talents since joining the club.
The French winger’s performances have attracted attention from top European clubs, with several believed to be monitoring his development for potential transfers.
However, Hoeneß was blunt in shutting down the rumours, stating that Bayern has no intention of selling the player and emphasizing the club’s commitment to protecting its key young stars.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, Hoeneß said, “Mourinho can keep five eyes on Olise — he won’t get him,” reinforcing Bayern’s position that the skillful player is not for sale.
Bayern’s stance reflects a broader strategy of securing its emerging talents to build a squad capable of sustained success in European competitions.
Olise is regarded internally as a long-term cornerstone of Bayern’s attacking future, despite being early in his career at the club.
Polity Reporters has previously reported that Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, had also issued a clear statement to quash speculation surrounding the French winger, reiterating the club’s commitment to retaining him.
