APC National Chairman’s Chief of Staff Defects to NDC

ENR Mustapha Bala Dawaki, the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially defected from the ruling party to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dawaki, a well-grounded and influential figure within northern political circles, announced his defection on Monday.

Observers described this move as a significant political gain for the NDC ahead of upcoming elections.

His departure from the APC is expected to spark discussions within the ruling party, particularly because of his close working relationship with the APC national leadership and his influence across key political structures.

Political analysts suggest that Dawaki’s move could bolster the NDC’s efforts to attract experienced politicians and strengthen its national presence.

The party has recently intensified internal restructuring and consultations to prepare for future electoral contests.

Supporters of the NDC have already hailed Dawaki’s defection as one of the opposition party’s most notable political wins in recent months.
