APM: Fagbenro-Bibire Congratulates Bimbo Adekanmbi, Other Candidates, Says Makinde Remains Leader Committed To People’s Interest

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Matters, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has congratulated Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi on his emergence as the consensus candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement at today’s gubernatorial primary held at the Watershed Event Centre in Ibadan.

He also conveyed his profound congratulations to other candidates who emerged victorious through their respective party primaries across Oyo State, urging them to put the people’s interest above all else as they move forward in their political pursuits.

Bibire, while reacting to the emergence of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in Oyo State, described the development as a clear vote of confidence in his fine leadership, competence, and capacity.

He noted that Adekanmbi’s emergence came as no bolt from the blue, given his long-standing but highly applaudable track record in governance, administration, and public service.

The Governor’s adviser also threw his weight behind his principal, praising him for always going the extra mile to back people and policies that put the welfare of the people above self-interest, showing over and over that he practices what he preaches.

According to him, Governor Makinde has continued to distinguish himself as a leader whose decisions are always anchored in the peace, growth, and development of Oyo State.

Bibire stated that the support and endorsement given to Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi further credenced Governor Makinde’s commitment to continuity, stability, and responsible leadership.

He added that the people of Oyo State have continued to witness practical governance under Governor Makinde through sustained infrastructural development, improved security support, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and people centred policies across different sectors.

Speaking further, Bibire maintained that Governor Seyi Makinde possesses the qualities required to provide practical leadership at the national level, noting that Nigerians are yearning for leadership that understands their daily realities and challenges.

He said the Governor has perpetually shown courage, calmness, administrative capacity, and people oriented leadership in the handling of governance and difficult situations.

“Nigeria needs leadership that understands the pains of the people and is ready to provide practical solutions to present economic and social challenges facing the country,” Bibire said.

He added, “Governor Seyi Makinde has shown over the years that governance must be about the people, their welfare, security, and future. He remains one of the few leaders with the experience, courage, understanding, and wherewithal needed to help reset Nigeria and restore public confidence in leadership.”

The security expert also congratulated other candidates who emerged through their respective political processes, urging them to continue to conduct their activities peacefully and place the interest of the people above every other consideration.

He however assured residents that the Oyo State Government remains fully committed to its primary responsibility of protecting lives and property, stressing that the administration will continue to support security agencies and strengthen measures directed at sustaining peace and stability across the State.

He concluded by urging political stakeholders and residents to continue to promote peace, unity, and issue based engagements as political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
