Igboho Threatens to Expose Politicians Behind Oyo Student Abductions

Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has warned that he will publicly name politicians he alleges are responsible for the kidnapping of students in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Igboho made the remarks on Wednesday while meeting the newly elected executive members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by Akinteye Babatunde, at his residence in Soka, Ibadan.
In a video that has since gone viral on Wisdom TV, the activist stated that he had volunteered to pursue the bandits behind the abduction of 47 students but was prevented by the Oyo State Government.
“I volunteered to go, but the state government said ‘No,’” he said.
Igboho emphasized that he never requested any payment from the Seyi Makinde-led administration to carry out the rescue.
He claimed to know the politicians allegedly sponsoring the kidnappers, accusing them of providing ammunition and financial support to the criminals.
“If I am allowed to storm their hideouts, they will run. They are human, not gnomes or mannequins, so they can be dislodged,” he said.
He added, “I know the politicians behind them, and if they continue their evil acts, I will name them all.”
The activist alleged that the same forces that destabilized former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration are now working to make Nigeria ungovernable for President Bola Tinubu through insecurity and propaganda.
“They even use fake news to frighten the public and distract supporters from the President,” he added.
Igboho also disclosed that after the Federal Government approved his proposed security initiative, “Iru Ekun,” the Oyo State Government warned him not to operate in the state.
Officials allegedly claimed that any attempt by him to rescue the abducted children could endanger their lives.
“Do we have to wait for him to flood the forests to rescue these children? I’m just concerned about these abductees,” he said.
He expressed confidence in his personal safety, noting that his family members are spread across Canada and Germany, making him a difficult target.
Igboho further questioned the motive behind efforts to destabilize Tinubu’s government, recalling that the president had helped secure his release from exile.
“Despite how bad Buhari’s administration was, he completed his tenure. Why are they trying to stop a Yoruba man, Tinubu, from completing his?” he asked.
