Tinubu Celebrates Umahi at 63, Calls Him One of His Outstanding Ministers

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated the Minister of Works, David Umahi, on his 63rd birthday, describing him as one of the outstanding and hardworking members of his cabinet.
Umahi, who was born on July 25, 1963, marked his 63rd birthday on Saturday.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the former Ebonyi State Governor for his commitment to delivering quality infrastructure across the country.
The President described Umahi as a minister who is passionate about his responsibilities and dedicated to providing durable roads and bridges that can serve Nigerians for generations.
Tinubu commended the minister’s commitment to duty, patriotism and determination to improve the nation’s infrastructure sector.
“Umahi is passionate about the job and delivering durable roads and bridges that will last for about a century,” Tinubu said.
The President urged the Minister of Works to sustain efforts towards accelerating road construction, rehabilitation and infrastructure delivery in line with his administration’s goal of improving citizens’ living standards and promoting economic growth.
Tinubu noted that Umahi’s approach to his duties goes beyond receiving reports from officials, as he personally visits project sites across the country to monitor progress and ensure compliance with approved standards.
“As a minister, he does not just sit in his office or rely on reports from subordinates; he is constantly on the road, personally monitoring construction work nationwide to ensure compliance with specifications and approvals,” the President stated.
