APM Chieftain, Fagbenro-Bibire Congratulates Governor Makinde on Campaign Office Opening, Says Nigerians Need Him Now

A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro, popularly known as Bibire, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on the opening of his presidential campaign office in Abuja and the commencement of his campaign ahead of the 2027 election.

Bibire, while speaking with journalists in Abuja today, described the development as a strategic turning point in Makinde’s quest to take the wealth of experience garnered in Oyo State to the national stage, saying Nigeria needs a leader who understands the terrain, knows where the shoe pinches, and has the capacity to provide solutions to the challenges confronting the country at this critical time.

“At a time like this, Nigerians need Governor Seyi Makinde because the country is clearly in dire need of a president who understands the pains of the people, knows where the shoe pinches, and possesses the capacity to steer Nigeria through its present challenges,” Bibire said.

He continued that Makinde’s track record in Oyo State gives Nigerians a reason to sit up and take note of his presidential ambition, particularly in the areas of security, economic management, infrastructure and governance.

He added that Governor Makinde has demonstrated in Oyo State that effective leadership is not an uphill task when there is the commitment and determination to serve the people, saying, “Governor Makinde has shown in Oyo State that leadership is not rocket science when there is the will to work and serve the people.”

The Special Adviser, however, urged Nigerians to look beyond political sentiments and consider the need for a fresh direction that will address existing challenges and make life more bearable for all citizens.

He noted that the number one citizen of Oyo State represents the promise of a fresh beginning through a reset button that will turn the tide of national development, place the country firmly on the path of progress, and improve the wellbeing of citizens.

He congratulated his principal and his running mate, Lawal Daura, on the opening of the campaign office and wished them success as they embark on their nationwide campaign.
